In the biodiversity hotspot!

Dryandra NP is home to many endangered marsupials such as the Numbat. I walked my butt of during the day and night. All I have seen were some kangaroos and wallabies. Although it was dissapointing on the wildlife side, the forest is a dynamic and alternating landscape with many plant and animal features. Let’s say it was a good hiking effort with a total of 25 km… in, again to my opinion, an impressive national park.

Travel plans

On the 30th of April I took the bus from Perth to Albany where I’ll be working in the youth hostel for the next 6 months. The wildflower season will start in a few months, so it is good to go to Stirling and Fitzgerald NP. Esperance has some nice parks too and then there is Wave Rock near Hyden. Further on the whales will visit albany on their migration from Antarctica in June and July. I mean that I’m definitely not finished exploring Australia! Next time more about the questions I still have about Australia and its citizens. And of course an update about living in Albany and the garden which will be transformed to a more livable place.
