Visit to a national park just out of Berlin
Schönower Heide is a nature reserve just outide of Berlin, in easy reach by S-Bahn. From us it is a mere 40 min journey and absolutely worthwhile. On this winter day in February deer were easy to spot along the trails in the reserve. From the viewing platforms you can enjoy the open dry scarce land which includes dry grasslands with low open vegetation. This area is dominated by a mosaic structure with shrub and open patches of land.
